    Full-time

    Software Engineer

HUMAT · Fort Worth, Texas, USA · Remote

    • Built and integrated REST APIs (Node.js) connecting external data sources (FEMA, National Weather Service) into a normalised ingestion layer.
    • Built the serving infrastructure for AI-based triage and categorisation of humanitarian incident reports, and evaluated and selected the underlying models.
    • Established CI/CD pipelines; containerised and deployed services in Docker and Kubernetes environments.
    • Built the frontend in Next.js, including Keycloak/OIDC authentication and cloud object storage integration.

Parallel K-Means Clustering in Fortran (MPI)

  • Implemented K-means clustering in Fortran using MPI.
  • Compared two parallelisation strategies: independent parallel restarts and data-parallel execution of a single run.
  • Determined the optimal cluster count using the elbow method via a serial parameter study over k.
